Between June and August this year I lived in North Carolina at the Brevard Music Center. I worked as an RA, composed too much music, slept very little (thanks to all that composing), and enjoyed the beauties of North Carolina’s Smokey Mountains.
A fascinating part of living in such a wet, cool, forested area like North Carolina is all of the wonderful wildlife and greenery. A particularly vivid side of this wildlife is North Carolina’s famous mycology. On my walks I always had a camera handy. Here are just a few specimens I encountered.
